Illegal Immigration Perspective from Vernon Briggs
Vernon Briggs from Cornell University, provides a brilliant perspective on illegal immigration. This is the biggest issue were Democrats lose my vote. They make all these claims saying they represent the poor and middle class, yet totally undermine their ability to earn a living wage by supporting and even promoting illegal immigration.
No explains why illegal immigration hurts the poor, better than Vernon Briggs. Vernon Briggs is the greatest champion of the poor we have in the US.
The Democrat solution appears to be let all the immigrants in until the poor in the US are just as poor as the neighboring countries. Then the illegals won’t want to come in.
Instead of fighting for living wages for people, we will just offer them government assistance because they’re going to need it.
I truly do have sympathy for people Outside the US. I believe much of their problems are caused by US foreign policy. That means their plight is something we can fix. That’s the most important issue. If their plight is something we can fix by changing US foreign policy, then why aren’t the Democrats focusing on that?
In making these statement’s I’m not saying people should give up on the Democratic Party all together. I actually don’t believe there’s enough of a difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party to make a big deal over the issue.
As Pat Buchanan would say, they are two wings of the same bird of pray.
So what can people do? Get involved at the grassroots level. If live in an area where a Dem usually wins, get involved with the Dems. If you live in a Repub area, get involved in your local party.
What does grassroots level mean? It means finding out who’s running at the primary level. If your state has caucuses, you need to attend the caucuses.
Candidates will have times when you can go hear them speak. Get off your rear and go listen to them. Talk to them and ask them questions. When you have picked the best person, volunteer to help them. Big money can be beaten if a candidate has enough volunteers.
Also for caucus states check you my Caucus101 page.
