Rabbis Against Zionism
Update 1: Jews in Iran, Update 2: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
I would like to revisit some history I brought up in my post on Constantine’s Sword, and the statements of Rabbi’s against Zionism. Rabbi Weiss has stated Zionism is an expression of nationalism to create a Jewish state. Judaism is the religion belief held by the Jews. Rabbi Weiss claims true Jews of the Jewish faith do not support Zionism.
Rabbi Weiss has also stated Zionism was started by Jewish Atheists from areas of Europe like the Soviet Union. It would appear to be true based on the history below. Zionism was a movement, not an expression of Jewish faith.

Roman rule. In 63 63 B.C. Roman troops invaded Judah and it came under Roman Control. The Romans called the area Judea. Jesus Chris was born in Bethlehem in the early years of Roman rule. Roman rulers put down Jewish revolts of Roman rule. Roman rulers put down Jewish revolts in A.D. 66 and A.D. 132. In A.D. 135, the Romans drive the Jews out of Jerusalem.
The Zionist movement. Beginning in the late 1800’s, oppression of Jews in Eastern Europe set off a mass emigration of Jewish refugees. Some Jews formed a movement called Zionism, which sought to make Palestine an independent Jewish nation.
World War II and the division of Palestine. (Paragraph 2) The United nations Special Commission on Palestine recommended that Palestine be divided into an Arab state and a Jewish state. The commission called for Jerusalem to be put under International control. The UN General Assembly adopted this plan on Nov. 29 1947. The Jews accepted the UN decision, but the Arabs rejected it. Fighting broke out immediately.
United Nations History of Palestine:
The Palestine problem became an international issue towards the end of the First World War with the disintegration of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. Palestine was among the several former Ottoman Arab territories which were placed under the administration of Great Britain under the Mandates System adopted by the League of Nations pursuant to the League’s Covenant (Article 22) .
All but one of these Mandated Territories became fully independent States, as anticipated. The exception was Palestine where, instead of being limited to “the rendering of administrative assistance and advice” the Mandate had as a primary objective the implementation of the “Balfour Declaration” issued by the British Government in 1917, expressing support for “the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people”.
During the years of the Palestine Mandate, from 1922 to 1947, large-scale Jewish immigration from abroad, mainly from Eastern Europe took place, the numbers swelling in the 1930s with the notorious Nazi persecution of Jewish populations. Palestinian demands for independence and resistance to Jewish immigration led to a rebellion in 1937, followed by continuing terrorism and violence from both sides during and immediately after World War II. Great Britain tried to implement various formulas to bring independence to a land ravaged by violence. In 1947, Great Britain turned the problem over to the United Nations.
Update 1: Rabbi Weiss claims there are Jews living in Iran. This video (embedding was disabled) appears to show that is correct: Jews Undercover in Iran .
Why is Zionism bad?
Many of the people in the Bush administration are considered to be Zionists. People like Richard Perle, and Douglas Feith. These men helped craft the Iraq War. The Bush administration was waging a holy war, but the target was Muslim’s in the Middle East. Perhaps this is simply something Carroll neglected to point out.
William Kristol could be considered to be a Zionist, and was a friend to the Bush administration. Kristol is the Chairman of the Project for a New American Century. An organization dedicated to US world military dominance. You can watch an interview with William Kristol and Douglas Feith in John Pilgers Breaking Silence.

George Washington’s Farewell Address
So likewise, a passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification. It leads also to concessions to the favorite nation of privileges denied to others which is apt doubly to injure the nation making the concessions; by unnecessarily parting with what ought to have been retained, and by exciting jealousy, ill-will, and a disposition to retaliate, in the parties from whom equal privileges are withheld. And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens (who devote themselves to the favorite nation), facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country, without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding, with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation, a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good, the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation.

Zionism is the movement to create a state where Jews-like all people, can be masters of their own destiny. That is, that Jews have a right to sovereignty and national self-determination. Given the history of the oppression and persecution of Jews, perhaps no other people deserve their own nation more, yet for some unknown (or known…) reason Zionism is the only national liberation movement that is constantly demonized and branded “racist.” This is fueled mostly by complete ignorance of the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict. For one thing, Zionism is often characterized as “European colonialism” or “imperialism”. The obvious contradictions lie in the simple fact that 1) most Jewish Israelis (over 20% of Israelis are non-Jews) are directly descended from Jews that were EXPELLED from Arab and Islamic countries (i.e. Morocco, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, etc.). 2) Israeli Jews that descend from Europe are almost all either Holocaust survivors or people who left before the Holocaust and almost certainly would have perished if they had stayed, and therefore were ESCAPING Europe, not colonizing Palestine on its behalf. 3) Israeli Jews have no other citizenship (mostly) and therefore are concerned with their own state, and not with imperialism on behalf of another entity. 4) All Jews, whether European or Middle Eastern, descend from the Israelites that lived in the land of Israel/Palestine 2000 years ago, and Jews have a religious and cultural tradition that consistently emphasizes the connection of Jews to ONLY that particular slice of land. Therefore, although anti-Zionism is not necessarily anti-Semitism, it is very often a thin veil for it.
It would be fine if honest Jews wanted to be masters of their own destiny and I would support that. However, to ethnically cleanse another country is just plain fascism. Not only has Israel ethnically cleansed its own territory of 700,000 Palestinians, it is now ethnic cleansing the West Bank. More than 40% of the West Bank is in Zionist hands and Bibi Netanyahu makes it quite plain he will do the rest as well.
Every day Palestinians are being driven from their lands. The Zionists have no moral conscience, their original philosphy came from atheism. American protestants have the religious card played on them all the time, when atheists pretend they are the real people of
