Vernon Briggs from Cornell University, provides a brilliant perspective on illegal immigration. This is the biggest issue were Democrats lose my vote. They make all these claims saying they represent the poor and middle class, yet totally undermine their ability to earn a living wage by supporting and even promoting illegal immigration.

No explains why illegal immigration hurts the poor, better than Vernon Briggs. Vernon Briggs is the greatest champion of the poor we have in the US.

The Democrat solution appears to be let all the immigrants in until the poor in the US are just as poor as the neighboring countries. Then the illegals won’t want to come in.

Instead of fighting for living wages for people, we will just offer them government assistance because they’re going to need it.

I truly do have sympathy for people Outside the US. I believe much of their problems are caused by US foreign policy. That means their plight is something we can fix. That’s the most important issue. If their plight is something we can fix by changing US foreign policy, then why aren’t the Democrats focusing on that?

In making these statement’s I’m not saying people should give up on the Democratic Party all together. I actually don’t believe there’s enough of a difference between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party to make a big deal over the issue.

As Pat Buchanan would say, they are two wings of the same bird of pray.

So what can people do? Get involved at the grassroots level. If live in an area where a Dem usually wins, get involved with the Dems. If you live in a Repub area, get involved in your local party.

What does grassroots level mean? It means finding out who’s running at the primary level. If your state has caucuses, you need to attend the caucuses.

Candidates will have times when you can go hear them speak. Get off your rear and go listen to them. Talk to them and ask them questions. When you have picked the best person, volunteer to help them. Big money can be beaten if a candidate has enough volunteers.

Also for caucus states check you my Caucus101 page.

I would like to give people a heads up on this film I had been rather excited about called

I.O.U.S.A

.

.

Based on this move trailer I thought it would shed some light on the Federal Reserve Banking system. It turns out the film did, but not very well. The film examines the

budget deficits

savings deficits

trade deficits

leadership “deficits”

After examining these issues, and doing a good job at scaring the crap out of people, they have a focus group to discus how to solve the problem. The only issue they focused on, was Social Security. Didn’t George Carlin warn us about this?

.

In this clip George warns us “They’re coming for your social security next, and they’ll get it too.”

They showed this clip in the movie (minus the text provided by this Youtuber) and then down-plaid it.

They did very little to examine the core problems with the Federal Reserve. For more information see InflationTax.blogspot.com

I think it’s odd David Walker who’s behind this film has teamed up with the Heritage Foundation. I’m not a fan. The Heritage Foundation claims to be a conservative think tank. I thought the main conservative value was family values. I claim being able to support your family is a critical family value conservatives are overlooking. You can’t tell me sending jobs out of the country will create more good paying jobs in the US. That’s what the Heritage Foundation claims. That’s like saying sending manufacturing to China will decrease our trade deficit. What is the Heritage Foundation, corporate propaganda think tank?

I’ve worked extensively with counterparts in India. They work for around $200 a month. Or at least that’s what someone from India told me seven years ago. They are probably up to $300 or $400 now.

This information was presented in the film Orwell Rolls in His Grave:

According to the nonpartisan congressional Budget Office: between 1979 and 1997, income for families in the middle rose 9% from $41,000 to $45,100, while income for families in the top 1% rose from $420,000 to $1,016,000 — a 140% increase.

Why has the response to a rise inequality been a drive to reduce taxes on the rich?

In addition to keeping their currency low, China imposes tariffs against US imports. Per Lou Dobbs War On The Middle Class China has a 25% tariff in place against US imports like cars, while we have a 3% tariff against them. We can’t sell exports to China.

Like Ronald Reagan’s quotas against Toyota, China requires a physical factory presence in their country in order to sell goods there. The Heritage Institute claim that protectionism harms other countries, but it appears to have made China very wealthy.

As I.O.U.S.A points out, China has the largest trade surplus in the world. They don’t have the debt the U.S. has offsetting their assets either. The U.S. has the largest trade deficit in the world, and the largest debt. If this is the case, is our government hiding the fact China is now the richest country in the world?

This film says the U.S. is approaching a $1 trillion per year trade deficit as Lou Dobbs mentions in War On The Middle Class. They went on and on about how Clinton balanced the Budget. Why not bring up Clinton signed NAFTA into law, or that he lowered the tariffs on China. Clinton Claimed bringing more wealth to their country would bring them freedom, but I don’t call forcing women to have an abortion as late as 9 months pregnancy freedom. I call it murder.

Unfortunately the American people have been brainwashed by Edward Bernays PR into thinking capitalism brings you democracy. They are independent of each other. Just because you have capitalism, it doesn’t mean you have democracy. You still have to fight to keep it.

This film as well as America Freedom to Fascism both state the American people pay three times what corporations do. America Freedom to Fascism gives these figures:

In 2005 the illegal tax on your labor collected $927.2

The legal corporate income tax collected $278.3

Most conservatives appear to miss the point of America Freedom to Fascism. Aaron Russo was NOT saying no one should ever pay taxes. He was saying Constitutionally the tax burden should be carried by corporations rather than working class people.

The corporate media owned by companies like GE keep telling you the economy will slow down, if they have to pay taxes. What it’s going to do is take the tax burden off from working class people, and put it on them where it belongs. When the government spends money without raising taxes to cover it, they just print money to make up the shortfall or borrow it from another country. That’s what causes the Inflation Tax. Maybe the corporate media will care more about government spending, if the corporations actually have to pay for it.

We have companies like Halliburton who moved their headquarters to Debi so they don’t have to pay taxes. Yet they are still allowed to bid on government contracts. The more companies pay their executives, the less they have to claim as profile. As Lou Dobbs points out in War On The Middle Class on page 26, Lee Raymond chairman of ExxonMobile made an average of $144,573.00 a day over a period of 13 years. Raymond’s retirement package was $400 million.

Again instead of addressing any of these issues, the primary focus (of the focus group at the end of this movie) was Social Security. They didn’t tackle the trade deficit. Why not talk about how Clinton lowered tariffs on China causing this issue to sky rocket? What about NAFTA?

They talked about the Medicare Drug Bill draining the country, but they didn’t go into why it’s actually so bad. The bill is so bad because it was written by the Big Pharma lobbyists as exposed in this 60 minutes documentary.

As I said before, Social Security and Medicare needs to be dealt with, but I see the goal of this film and the focus group at the end as going after the poor and middle class. There is no focus on the juggernauts who are selling us down the river. Again they didn’t discuss tackling the Fed so we can combat inflation. That would make it worth while to save money. Right now, inflation is higher than the interest you can earn on your savings, unless you’re investing in gold or silver. One idea they presented was to Federally mandate savings–another tax.

What Ron Paul has said is we need to close down our 700 military bases in 130 countries, use that money to meet our current obligations, and then give young people the option of opting out. I agree this is good, because one generation supporting the last is an unsustainable system. It requires population growth to combat inflation. If the birth rate isn’t high enough, you then have a crisis. We have to tackle the Federal Reserve, so if you save for retirement, the interest on your savings will be higher than the inflation rate.

These guys claimed policing the world is not the main expense so they didn’t even address the issue. They did address George Bush has run up the biggest U.S. deficit in American history. How do they think he did that that? Having a $10 billion per month war isn’t the cause?

Let me point out again, Ron Paul has stated ending our global empire would give us the money to meet our current obligations. Check out this Google search for pie charts on the US military budget and. It’s a lot higher than they claimed in this film.

In the Above video Cynthia McKinney points out the Pentagon had $2.3 trillion go missing in 1999, and $1.1 trillion go missing in 2000. Defense Department Comptroller Tina Jonas states they spend $20 billion per year, on computer information systems.

It looks like the U.S. foreign aid budget for 2008 is $20.27 billion. They did NOT mention foreign aid. Why didn’t they look at that? Foreign aid is supporting foreign politicians for the most part. It’s not helping the poor.

John McCain wants to cut corporate taxes from 35% to 25%. Won’t that cause the dollar to plunge even farther? That’s one way Bush caused the dollar to crash. He lowered the taxes on the richest 3% of the population, while increasing government spending.

Don’t let them touch your Social Security until they address these other issues. I hate to put it this way, but it looks like the poor and middle class are about to get screwed again, while all of these other issues go unaddressable.

I believe this is some of the most important info on the FISA bill H.R. 6304

One of the most important things Glen Greenwald has to say (former Constitutional Layer) is

It is absolutely false that the only unconstitutional and destructive provision of this “compromise” bill is the telecom amnesty part. It’s true that most people working to defeat the Cheney/Rockefeller bill viewed opposition to telecom amnesty as the most politically potent way to defeat the bill, but the bill’s expansion of warrantless eavesdropping powers vested in the President, and its evisceration of safeguards against abuses of those powers, is at least as long-lasting and destructive as the telecom amnesty provisions. The bill legalizes many of the warrantless eavesdropping activities George Bush secretly and illegally ordered in 2001. Those warrantless eavesdropping powers violate core Fourth Amendment protections. And Barack Obama now supports all of it, and will vote it into law. Those are just facts.

Barack Obama is starting to exhibit a pattern of soft peddling and supporting really bad bills.

Another example is Barack Obama’s Senate vote for the Reauthorization of the Patriot Act.
Senate votes on the Reauth of the Patriot Act

Many Republicans stand by Ronald Reagan as an example of a great Republican. I admit I used to think he was a great man myself. Reagan’s public speeches on limited government and personal freedom were inspiring, and still are.

Reagan imposed quotas on Japanese auto manufactures to encourage them to build their auto manufacturing plants in the U.S. hnn.us This worked quite well, bringing jobs to the U.S. This should be an example of why we should be weary of propaganda telling us tariffs are bad.

Where I lost faith in Reagan was The Iran Contra Scandal, October Surprise, and his war on drugs. The Iran Contra Scandal was the CIA selling Arms to Iran to fund the Contra Rebels in Nicaragua. That in it’s self is pretty bad, but the Contras were mass murderers. The Contras were actually running drugs into the U.S. on plains being provided by the CIA. That just sounds crazy doesn’t it? The sad thing is there’s a lot of documentaries and documentation out there to back this up.

How could Reagan support criminals who were running drugs into the U.S. while waging a war on drugs? What the hell was he thinking?

Reagan’s war on drugs violated the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution by allowing the police to confiscate people’s property to pay for his war on drugs:

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

The Future of Freedom Foundation has compiled a list of examples where Reagan’s drug war laws have opened the door for an abuse of property seizures.

This is an interesting video by Pat Condell. I do believe Pat is wrong on one issue. Stating no-one has ever commed injustice against people from the Middle East just is not true. Of course that does not give terrorists the right to invade our culture or blow us up.

Pat Condell

  .

Pat makes some interesting points about Immigration that people in the United States should consider. I don’t believe people from Mexico plan to kill everyone. I’ve never heard of a Mexican plan to make every woman wear burkas, but there may be violence from abroad that spills over into the US. Beheading on the rise in Mexico per NPR. This NPR story points out how Rape in Mexico tends to go unreported because of culture and police looking at the issue as being “the woman’s fault”. There’s also the planned take over of U.S. by sheer force of numbers.

You can’t really tell what the crime statistics are for illegals from Latin America in the US because the data is collected, but not published.

CIA World Factbook Ethnic Groups

white 77.1%, black 12.9%, Asian 4.2%, Amerindian and Alaska native 1.5%, native Hawaiian and other Pacific islander 0.3%, other 4% (2000)

note: a separate listing for Hispanic is not included because the US Census Bureau considers Hispanic to mean a person of Latin American descent (including persons of Cuban, Mexican, or Puerto Rican origin) living in the US who may be of any race or ethnic group (white, black, Asian, etc.)

Nearly every business in the US now offers duel services in English and Spanish. The second highest source of revenue for Mexico is illegals in the US sending money back to Mexico. The New York Times Published: March 30, 2006:

Remittances from the United States to Mexico exceeded $16 billion last year, the nation’s second-highest source of revenue, after oil. Migration also serves as an escape valve that takes pressure off a government unable to create enough decent-paying jobs for its people.

What incentive does Mexico have to change? I’m sure they couldn’t pull it off. The richest man in the world is now from Mexico.

This is one area I where I believe the Democrats are being totally hypocritical, and making their own worst enemy. They claim to represent so many groups of people that are totally contradictory to each other, yet people keep supporting the same politicians. The Democrats support illegal immigration, yet claim to support the poor in the US. Every blue collar worker in the US has his job threatened by illegal immigrants.

The Democrats claim to support African Americans, but turn a blind eye to the African Americans who have lost their jobs to illegal immigrants. Liberal Secularists often support illegal immigration, yet they have a growing fear of the radicalized Evangelical Right.

I assert the radical left has a hand in creating the same people they fear.

By not giving a damn about the poor blue collar people, the radical left is fueling the radical right. The radical left is creating a group of people that have absolutely no hope for the future. The people that comprise the radical right have absolutely no hope for the future, and are much like Muslims. They only have the afterlife to look forward to. This is what Chris Hedges says he’s talking about in American Fascists.

Chris Hedges on American Fascists

  .

Next we have the Republicans. Republicans have aligned themselves with the religious right. I believe religion can do great things for people, but it can also be used to control people: Religion is what keeps the poor from murdering the rich. ~ Napoleon Bonaparte

There is a total contradiction going on within the Republican Party. I support a free market. Government welfare for the people is Socialism. Government welfare for corporations is fascism. Tax breaks, government subsidies, and eminent domain on behalf or corporations is not a free market. Somehow conservatives appear to be confused over this issue–although I have seen Democrats support such robbery on behalf of corporations as well.

When I listen to Michael Reagan, or Sean Hannity, I hear people people who act like total nationalists on behalf of corporations. How is pledging allegiance to corporations patriotic when they are sending every American job they can over seas? How does the Bible support exorbitant tax breaks for the rich, but not for the poor Matthew 19:16-26?

Matthew 19:16-26 tells us the rich should–not be selfish–and give up all they own to help the poor. I have read sermons that claim that’s not what this passage means, but I’m not buying it. I’m sure that makes wealthy congregation members very happy. Matthew 19:16-26 does not mean you should take from the poor and give to people who are poorer either.

No I’m not saying we need to confiscate money from people against their will. What I am saying is the poorest people of the US are being sacrificed. People are saying we should be charitable to people from Mexico, but what they’re actually doing is bringing in cheep labor, so the rich can become extremely rich. If this is really about helping the poor of Mexico, then why aren’t the rich donating to the United Way or World Vision, instead of sacrificing the poorest people in the US?

This goes beyond illegal immigrants from Mexico. This extends to the factory jobs being lost to people in China paid as little as $19 per week, or the IT jobs being lost to workers in India who make as little as $200 a month–that’s what someone from India told me at least.

How does supporting US corporations support family values? Prior to 1913 when the income tax was instated, taxes were gathered by tariffs. That means they were collected by business transactions, not by taxing the people. If these US companies are sending all their labor over seas, they are no longer US companies and should be treated as such. Giving tax breaks to the rich is insane when all they do is send more jobs overseas. That idea no longer works in a global economy.

In the film Orwell Rolls In His Grave they state:

According to the nonpartisan congressional Budget Office: between 1979 and 1997, income for families in the middle rose 9% from $41,000 to $45,100, while income for families in the top 1% rose from $420,000 to $1,016,000 — a 140% increase.

Why has the response to a rise in inequality been a drive to reduce taxes on the rich?

My Response to the ACLU

I wish you would rethink this issue. This is about cracking down on employers for encouraging illegal immigration. This is what many people have been asking for all along–cracking down on the employers is the best way to crack down on illegal immigration.

The blue collar people of the US losing their jobs to illegal immigration is no different from factory workers losing their jobs to China, or people in customer service and information technology losing their jobs to India. The main difference is people from Mexico are coming here so you are more aware of them.

My father just lost his $20 per hour construction job so his employer could hire more people who are here illegally at $12 an hour. You can’t support a family where I live at $12 an hour. The only way illegals can get buy on these wages is by living in slums or having groups of families living in the same house.
The company my father was working for knowingly had illegals using same social security number.

The government needs to crack down on these employers.

When you sell the blue collar people down the river, you are creating fascists. Poverty and lack of hope breads radicalized right wing extremists. That’s the point Chris Hedges was trying to make in his book American Fascists. You can see the interview he did with the CBC on Youtube

If the bill has flaws it needs to be amended, but not thrown out. I also wanted to mention NAFTA should be a big focus for trying to help the people of Mexico and the US. One of my all time heroes Berny Sanders posted this excellent article on the issue:The hidden costs of free trade (Boston Globe, Op-Ed) – 11/06/2007By Adrian Boutureira
November 5, 2007

We have already seen the devastating effects of the North American Free Trade Agreement in Massachusetts. According to conservative estimates, more than 100,000 manufacturing jobs have been lost in the last decade alone. Nationally, at least 3 million jobs have been sent offshore, and the wage gap continues to expand.
more stories like this

Our trading partners have suffered, too – with huge increases in inequality and massive displacement. For example, at least 1.3 million Mexican farmers have lost their livelihood under NAFTA. As a result, the number of annual immigrants from Mexico to the United States surged from 332,000 in 1993, the year before NAFTA went into effect, to 530,000 in 2000 – a 60 percent increase.

This video was originally posed by The Thoughts of Awake People.Warning people about physhing is good, but lets look at what the media is really doing here. Notice they are telling people (particularly the elderly) NOT to go to any web site they haven’t gone to before. They are also telling them NOT to click on links anyone ever sends them in an email. This keeps the elderly from doing any research on the web.

This keeps the elderly in the US–who vote more than anyone else–from being exposed to any information other than what main stream media tells them.

Maybe the media is trying to defend their advertising dollars. It may also be because they don’t want the elderly to know certain things like the US is building 14 permanent military bases in Iraq.

Having watched films like Orwell Rolls in his Grave, and Century of Self, I believe this is quite deliberate.

The control the mainstream media has is extremely dangerous to democracy. We need to reach out to other voters, and particularly elderly voters, in order to break through the reality being created by the mainstream media.

People also need to understand the real root of political power in the United States is finding out what your precinct is, and attending caucuses. Depending on the state you live in, the caucus can actually determine who winds up on the ballot.

Again I recommend against splitting off into a third party. The media will not give them any coverage. Legally they don’t have to give them any coverage. Unless you are a billionaire, the only thing breaking off into a third party will do, is leave the corrupt people in the Democratic Party or the Republican Party to do as they please. Don’t get caught in that trap.

It has been great to see people from every political party and every belief system come together to support Ron Paul. I would like to ask everyone to watch his below video, and I would like to make a suggestion.

For years people have become frustrated with the two party system and have been fractioning off into separate parties. For example we have the Constitution Party, the Libertarian Party, and the Personal Choice Party.

Has anyone ever heard of the term “Divide and Conquer?” Don’t fall for this trap.

Having watched films like Orwell Rolls in his Grave, I know a third party can’t get air time unless they have millions of dollars. Even then, the news networks can still keep a third party out if they didn’t like their message. Smear campaigns are very easy to pull over on the American People.

I believe people have been playing into the hands of corrupt politicians all along. United we stand. Divided we fall.

Imagine if all these different factions continue to pull together and became active within their own precincts–with or without Ron Paul. The neocons would have people to reckon with. As things currently stand, people keep getting disgusted and abandoning all hope. When we do this we are just letting the neocons have their way.

I would like to urge everyone to take the time to learn how your local political party works, and get involved. Unfortunately, every state is different, so you have to find resources to study your local process.

Try to unite people by finding issues we agree on, rather than uniting people by finding a common enemy.

Whether Ron Paul wins or not “We The People” need to unite.

Maybe we could get Ron Paul to leave his web site online to help us continue to organize. We need to contact people in out precincts, continue to canvas and unite. The only way to take the Republican Party back is to canvas within our precincts. If we can’t clean our government up from the top down, let’s try doing it from the bottom up. I hope people will continue to support Dennis Kucinich and the great work he is doing as well.

That’s the only way to clean up the corruption in both the Democrat and/or the Republican Party.

I would also like to recommend watching , and Century of Self. You need to study the history of Public Relations, in order know when you are being manipulated.
